🍚 The perfect Thai long-grain jasmine rice — a fragrant and versatile accompaniment to various dishes, particularly Thai curries and stir-fries, or simply as a side dish with meat and vegetables.

🌾 What is
it? Jasmine rice is a long-grain white rice with a delicate floral aroma and a slightly sweet flavour; when cooked, it remains fluffy and lacks the stickiness of ordinary rice. It is mainly grown in Thailand and is often referred to as ‘Thai Hom Mali’.

🍚 Culinary
uses ✔️ As an accompaniment to meat, fish, vegetables or sauces (e.g. curry, teriyaki).
✔️ A staple for Asian dishes — in stir-fries, Thai rice dishes and fried rice.
✔️ As a meal in its own right – once cooked, it’s wonderfully fluffy and can be seasoned with herbs or lemon juice.

💡 Cooking tip:
Rinse the rice under cold water before cooking to remove excess starch. Cook using a ratio of 1 part rice to 1.5–2 parts water for about 12–15 minutes over a low heat, then leave to finish cooking, covered.
